He is friendly, with a small vocabulary. Normally not talkative in front of strangers, he will soon warm up and begin talking, especially when he thinks no one is paying attention. By the time you climb in your car to leave, he will shout "BYE BYE" from his cage or perch.

He will readily climb on anyone's arm. Beware, however!!! He will probably not let you pet him. Gentle, playful. If he takes a liking to you, he will chase you around wherever you are sitting, and give you playful nips through your shirt or trousers. (and probably laugh all the while!!) He likes all things bright and beautiful--buttons, jewelry, watch crystals, earrings.

If he really takes a liking to you, he just might give you a kiss (tongue and all).

His normal diet is a mixture of seeds, supplemented with fruits, english muffins with honey or jam, fresh cooked potatoe, BBQ ribs, chicken or turkey bones. If you offer him a piece of cheese, he will let out a long ecstatic "MMMMMMMmmmmmmm", and let everything else drop.

Normally, macaws live to between 80 & 120 years old, but we strongly suspect our Einstein will succum to hardening of the arteries from his love of cheese.

If he is on your arm and you offer him a can of soda or beer, he will gladly pop the top!!!
